Responsible for selling the public space, food and beverage, and function planning services of the hotel to maximize revenues and profits for the hotel while keeping quality consistently high. Responsible for all catered functions from origination to execution by overseeing client functions to ensure client satisfaction. Work on a consistent basis with sales personnel to aid in generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. Responsible for handling customer complaints and rectifying problem situations as well as accountable for extra arrangements in planning at the client’s request; such as ensuring/delegating rental of tent/tables/chairs, video/audio equipment, internet connection, and specialty linen; some weekend and evening hours required.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of catered food and beverage sales; three years of prior hotel catering sales experience; comfort with working on a Personal Computer and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; excellent communication skills, polished presentation and strong customer service orientation; demonstrated success in achieving service goals in hotel or customer service environment while exercising independent judgment.
