The Training and Events Planner (TEP) will oversee the successful development, marketing, and implementation of trainings and events for BHS. Primary duties include: - Coordinate all training arrangements to ensure well-attended and successful events. - Strategize outreach and marketing strategies; coordinate press coverage and advertising. - Respond to enrollment issues and communicate in a timely manner with trainers.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
This position requires expertise in planning and marketing events, communicating effectively within a team environment, and creating organizational structure for training programs. A current NC driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the state including overnight travel. Ability to work a flexible work schedule. Proactive problem solving skills to handle unexpected challenges; and the ability to work with a diverse population of academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of college students, faculty and staff and those with disabilities and special needs. The position also requires experience with tools for program outreach and marketing such as MailChimp, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Hospitality, or related field with two year’s experience.
