The American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD) seeks a dynamic Member Services Manager to support the organization’s 3,000+ members, who help cancer patients improve their quality of life through radiation therapy, and help propel the organization and its members into the future of healthcare.
The Member Services Manager will be the primary manager of member support and will drive membership renewal, growth and engagement through best practices in database management, marketing and communication. The successful candidate will also manage activities within the areas of meetings, committee and board support, finance and overall administration. This position will engage directly with members, volunteers, leaders and contractors to provide outstanding customer service and support for a variety of projects and programs. Maintain electronic membership records and proactively manage the database
Develop and implement membership renewal and retention strategies
Respond to member, volunteer and public inquiries
Coordinate committee activities as staff liaison
Develop content for electronic and print communications
Assist with maintenance of web and social media content
Assist with coordination of annual, regional and board meetings, working with staff and outside meeting planners
Administer the annual election
Work with accounting firm on reconciliation of membership and other payments
Manage other electronic platforms for file sharing and committee/board workspaces
Provide administrative support to Executive Director, Board and Committees as needed
Identify operational areas for improvement and provide proactive solutions
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of experience in association membership management/development
Membership database management experience – YourMembership experience a plus.
Strong customer-service orientation
Proven ability to take ownership of assigned projects and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An eye for details with the ability to multi-task
Willingness to embrace and use technology for all aspects of association management
Strong organizational and project management skills
Advanced Microsoft Office and overall technology skills
Ability to solve problems and provide solutions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment
Additional Salary Information: This is a 1099 contractor position. Not eligible for health benefits or 401k. The hourly rate is negotiable.
