1. Develop innovations and corporate education program enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and program effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Work closely with department, school and University administrative staff and/or student workers to ensure smooth program delivery and efficient operation of the department. 2. Develop strong working relationships with school, campus and community-based business partners and serve as corporate education liaison for the Yale School of Management (SOM) and University. 3. Select sites for off-campus programs and act as lead negotiator on hotel contracts with the venue to host the conference or program, in conjunction with the Deputy Director. Develop competitive information on pricing, services and programs in the market, analyze that information to improve the program's delivery of services. 4. Serve as on-site troubleshooter for client programs and individual program participants and resource for other team members. Independently resolve operational issues. 5. Serve as the operational point person for corporate education clients, with responsibility for managing all activities necessary to plan and deliver programs of the highest quality. 6. Develop and maintain positive rapport with client program management staff. 7. Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all clients and follow up to obtain client feedback. Analyze program's success in meeting service goals. 8. Collaborate and contribute to the training/coaching of new program managers, clerical staff, and interns. Pivot into other program manager roles as needed. 9. Work closely with Yale faculty, other SOM departments, and client training and event planners to coordinate the necessary advance and contingency planning to ensure smooth and successful execution of client learning initiatives. 10. Coordinate travel logistics, room and meal selection and planning, and local transportation for assigned clients and projects. 11. Plan and coordinate with other SOM administrative offices, other University departments, support staff and vendors. Initiate inventory selection and orders. Develop and make recommendations to the Deputy Director on best practices and quality control for the department. Ensure consistency in program material templates and presentations. 12. Coordinate the work of all contributors and ensure operational excellence of the programs. Work closely with faculty and administrative team to direct the timely compilation, production and distribution of course materials. 13. Serve as expert school-wide resource/consultant for program and event planning. 14. In conjunction with the Deputy Director and the Business Office, monitor contracts and program budgets and expenses with suppliers for assigned clients. 15. In concert with the Deputy Director and other administrative departments, improve and systematize documented operating processes and administrative protocols, and work to ensure compliance with school and university policies. 16. Ensure that all assigned program and participant records are accurate and up to date. 17. Other projects as assigned.
