Job Summary: Atlanta association management firm representing non-profit associations seeks an in-house program coordinator and meeting planner looking to plan, develop, and implement association educational activities and meetings.
Serve as staff liaison for the associations CE committee, and work to develop and execute an annual plan for CE activities.
Coordinate documentation and organization of CE records as required for all educational activities. Apply for additional credit through respective accrediting body.
Maintain continuing education accreditation status with the appropriate accrediting body by keeping accurate records and complying with established accreditation standards.
Leads speaker selection/contracting, program messaging, presentation coordination, program execution, and post-event follow up.
Develops and monitors budget for programs, activities and publications related to scope of responsibility.
Collaborate with other state chapters, medical education companies, pharmaceutical companies, and other organizations to offer educational programming to association members.
Identify educational programming from the all member needs assessment.
Create and analyze online evaluations and prepare post-event reports.
Ensure association continuing education program remains a viable option for members to maintain their state license to practice and to recertify for their boards.
Plan and execute all activities for CE meetings.
Coordinate site visits with site selection contact and make recommendations for meeting sites. Initiate, review, and finalize contracts with meeting sites and manage meeting rooms, food and beverage and sleeping room block.
Serve as point of contact for venue staff, and direct ASG staff schedule/roles at meetings
Knowledge of meeting planning including the development of banquet event orders, room set-up, and audio visuals.
Track expenses and review event billing for budget reconciliation

Specialized skills desired:
Experience in management of educational programming; contract management; budget administration; working with committees; experience developing timetables and meeting deadlines; and experience in operating personal computers and various software including desktop publishing systems and registration/membership database.
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience in meeting planning industry (health field desired but not mandatory). Knowledge of continuing education principles. Travel required to serve as on-site meeting manager at events or to represent the client in a professional capacity.
Salary Range and Benefit:
$35,000 - $40,000 - commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance and matching 401K.
