Assists the Audiovisual Coordinator/Operations Manager with technical support for programs and events in the Blackwell and the Pfahl Executive Conference Center; assists manager in day-to-day operations with audiovisual needs for conferences, programs and events; maintains, prepares and sets up equipment for use; meets with guests or meeting planners prior to events when required or directed by manager; maintains good working knowledge of equipment such as digital projectors, laptop and personal computers, audio equipment, smart podiums, and other A/V equipment; must possess strong technical troubleshooting skills and understand signal flow; works under management supervision, but has ability to make judgment calls when necessary to ensure success of event; assists in organizing and maintaining inventories of audiovisual equipment and supplies; supervise evening convention services staff and cross train in other departments as needed by management; assists in the set up of tables, chairs, coffee breaks, buffet tables, break tables; carries out policies and procedures as determined by The Blackwell Inn. The Blackwell Inn is open 365 days and year, 24 hours a day. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7th grade education; 100 hours of training in operation or audiovisual equipment (or one month of experience); or equivalent.
Experience with setup and workings of A/V equipment including sound systems, equipment for computer presentations and light systems; ability to troubleshoot problems and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs; demonstrated success in achieving service goals in conference center or customer service environment.
Target Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 Hourly
