Reporting to the Director of Music Programs, the Artist Liaison administers the development and execution of artist contracts, provides practical and logistical support to artists who are visiting and performing with Stanford Live. This position also provides additional administrative support to the Executive Director, artistic and other departments.
Program Contract Management
Develops, proofs, distributes, and executes visiting artist contracts for Stanford Live programs and initiatives.
Manages payment of all artists through procurement process, requiring time-sensitive attention to detail and extensive trouble-shooting.
Manages expense tracking related to visiting artist contracts.
Administrative tasks and projects may be assigned as needed from Artistic and other departments.
Acts as point person for communications with visiting artist's manager or agent.
Handles planning and coordination of all visiting artist accommodations, travel logistics, onsite schedule, and hospitality needs.
Coordinates visiting artist needs with the Production Manager for rehearsals and performances.
Is present onsite as primary artist liaison for each performance including overseeing dressing room and catering setup, and coordinating artist ticketing needs, meet-and-greets, merchandise sales, and payments.

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to establish and manage priorities, manage shifting priorities, multi-task, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
Ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently.
Excellent organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Demonstrated creativity, problem solving skills, and good judgment in decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven diplomacy, tact, and ability to interact successfully with a wide range of people.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Interest in the performing arts.
May direct temporary staff or interns to perform various tasks and assignments.
Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and use a telephone grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
Occasionally kneel/crawl, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, and grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 21-30 pounds.
Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license and drive day or night
