Department: Temp Center Position: Temporary Event Coordinator Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Event Coordinator for the Chicago campus. An experienced event planner is temporarily needed to plan and execute the school’s June 19 convocation for 2,000+ guests at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The temporary employee will lead the event planning based on previous convocations, informed by an existing process document, and within an allocated budget. The Event Coordinator will report to the associate dean and collaborate/coordinate with the Student Services team. The Coordinator will be assisted by a part-time clerk leading up to the event, and a large team of volunteers the day of the event. The Coordinator will participate in the university-wide commencement meetings as department liaison, briefing the associate dean and identifying items needing action/coordination. *Some weekends required Qualifications Required:
Software Required: MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
