Auxiliary Services represents a diverse portfolio of business units providing key services to the University and our host communities. Our essential services include conferences/events, event planning, parking, transportation, stores, vehicle/equipment fleet, mail services, and campus COVID-19 testing services.
The Event Management and Support Department is the hub of daily activity for customer service support, coordination, set-up, administration and execution of classroom set up and events. This position primarily supports our Boston Health Sciences and SMFA Campuses.
Knowledge and experience as typically acquired through completion of a Associate's Degree in Event Planning, hospitality, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible event coordination and planning
Substantive experience working with MMS
Motivated Self Starter that can multitask under the pressure of a high-volume workload
Microsoft Outlook, word, excel proficient and powerpoint
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter focused on improvement and executing transformative change
Flexibility in work schedule required due to the myriad events that occur nights, weekends and special occasions such as commencement and events similar in nature
Valid driver's license
Bachelor's Degree Event Planning, hospitality, or equivalent
Knowledge of CAD diagramming programs, specifically AllSeated
Higher Education experience a plus
Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation
