Develops project plan, directs the project planning process and lifecycle, and serves as committee manager to execute medium to large scale complex enterprise wide and field events. Responsible for working closely with the Executive Office, Event Marketing and multiple supporting divisions and stakeholders to ensure projects meet the ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand standards, strategic initiatives and fundraising goals while ensuring events are completed on time, within budget and scope.
• Assists others and can help plan, assign and schedule, review work and ensure quality standards, train staff and overseeing their productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but does not have responsibility for making these decisions • Operates with latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Decisions may require developing or applying best practices, standards or guidelines • Problems are highly varied, complex and often non-recurring; require novel and creative approaches to resolution. New concepts and approaches may have to be developed • Performs duties within scope of general ALSAC policies, procedures and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices • Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices. Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor • Working knowledge of ITS procedures to create registration and event app back-end processes and technology improvements • Intermediate experience in Microsoft tools (Excel & PowerPoint) required • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years relevant experience required • Cvent, Wufu, Zoom; AutoCAD • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Event Professional Certification helpful • In lieu of educational requirements, may substitute 6-7 years related work experience.
