The Associate Director of Donor Relations partners with the VP and AVPs of Development and Campaign and Donor Relations to develop the Trust's national and international engagement strategy, and manage its execution. This role will serve as one of the Trust's primary donor event planners with a focus on national and international programming to create high level cultivation and stewardship opportunities. Working with the Directors for Principal and Major Gifts and their teams, the incumbent is responsible for implementing the Trust's event policies and hospital protocols.

This Associate Director, Donor Relations will:
- Partner with leadership on Principal and Major Gift teams and Donor Relations to develop event plans based on purpose and audience, recommending concept, content, focus and plan of execution.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of events including budget development and maintenance, invitation design and list development, RSVP tracking and reporting, event management, and staffing plans.
- Ensure that both Trust- and hospital-wide protocols and policies are instituted and followed as appropriate in all stewardship and cultivation events.
- Oversee and manage debriefs and follow up for each program and event.
- Manage donors, doctors and volunteer committees involved in events as needed and serve as liaison and primary contact for them with respect to their event participation.
- Work closely with Communications to coordinate, create, and develop marketing materials, collateral, website and all communication for all signature events, and others as needed. In addition, will work with Communication staff to ensure effective and successful PR outreach as needed.
- Manage and implement special projects (events or donor recognition) at request of AVP.
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years' relevant work experience, ideally in fundraising and event planning,
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships, influencing and motivating others to drive results.
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and setting short and long-term objectives.
- Proven track record providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required to execute events.
