The Rockefeller University seeks a Program Administrator, Academic Affairs (Salary range: $70K - $80K) to join Office of Academic Affairs. The Program Administrator, Academic Affairs will report directly to the Program Director, Academic Events, and Initiatives, and will provide program support for the University's faculty recruitment initiatives led by a committee of over thirty professors to conduct a search for tenure-track faculty across all areas of biomedical research. The Program Administrator, Academic Affairs responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: processing applications; responding to applicant inquiries; coordinating video interviews and in-person visits conducted via two annual Symposia; preparing symposia materials and programs; updating web pages and the online application system annually; coordinating faculty meetings, student luncheons, and faculty receptions/dinners; scheduling and preparing materials for committee meetings. Provides secondary support for academic events including weekly seminar series and off-site scientific retreats - maintains a database of speakers for all campus seminar series; proofreads events materials; creates forms utilized by event planner; updates web pages with seminar recordings and retreat photos; manages office calendar and contact lists. General accounting duties include monthly ledger reconciliation, processing travel reimbursements and honoraria, and assisting with budgeting processes. Performs additional duties as required tracks office computer purchases and software upgrades conduct research and data entry projects and organizes electronic filing projects. Targeted Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000.
Bachelor's degree required, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with related administrative and/or event coordination is required. Prior experience in higher education or a non-profit setting is preferred. Flexibility with occasional evening and weekend work for events is required.
