Under the General Supervision of the Senior Manager, Event Services, serve as a primary contact for reviewing, assigning, and booking UCI Student Center & Event Services locations including, Ring Mall, Aldrich Park, plazas, general assignment classrooms and lecture halls, and the Student Center Conference Center. In addition, assist Sr. Meeting & Event Planners and the department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties

High School Diploma and at least 1 year of event planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work professionally with student organizations, campus departments, staff, faculty, campus administration, and the general public. Ability to use initiative and good judgment. Skill in the operation of a personal computer. Ability to multitask.
Knowledgeable of the Student Center website and how to direct clients to important information and forms. Effective communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills. Willingness to assist at event sites (indoors and outdoors) as needed.
Ability to use and operate a golf cart and/or other motorized vehicles Willingness to work during regular business hours, including Sunday shifts Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to answer phones call and reply to emails in a professional and courteous manner.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Social Tables. Ability to use EMS (Event Management System) and Conference Programmer (CP). Knowledge of conference center operations. Familiarity with UCI policies related to events and space use.
Special Conditions Required:
Must be able to work at least one Sunday shift per month to cover the Visitor Center as a Meeting and Event Specialist.
