The Gillings Event Strategist oversees formulation and implementation of the dean's event strategy for 12-15 key marquee Schoolwide events, in alignment with School mission, strategic plan and goals, including reputation. Marquee events are those with 200+ internal participants; external participants up to 3000; revenue-generating; cross-cutting with other UNC or external organizations; complex planning components such as multiday, multisession and/or in-person/remote hybrid; fundraising opportunity; linked to achievement of strategic goals in research, academics, practice, inclusive excellence, or global/local public health The Event Strategist performs hands-on planning and delivery of selected Schoolwide events and responds nimbly to compelling ad hoc smaller event opportunities identified by the Dean or the Dean's designee(s). The individual also consults and collaborates with event planners across the School to ensure alignment, best practice and continuous quality improvement, and leverages internal and external event services and resources.
