The Education Program Manager is housed within the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care (POPC) and works directly on initiatives run through the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care (CPC). The individual in this position serves as the primary education/event/meeting planner, responsible for providing services for internal and external conferences, seminars and continuing medical education (CME) courses of the CPC. The Education Program Manager is responsible for providing all levels of planning and coordination on behalf of the seminar and course directors and draws upon exceptional interpersonal and professional skills to create a positive experience for faculty and learners who participate in our educational programs. ??

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop initial delivery plans and activate workstreams
Develop and manage annual budgets and operating strategies for the program
Oversee the implementation of internal and external educational events
Manage logistics and support engagement of participants
Maintain knowledge of CME requirements and develop renewal proposals
Facilitate communication with course faculty and attendees
Produce tangible reports for management and course leadership throughout project life cycles
Participates in website development and maintenance
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor???s degree
2 years of program/project management and planning experience; experience working in a medical or academic setting preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledgeable of computer applications including Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Outlook; experience with Canvas, and the Adobe Design Suite desirable
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership and external contacts
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through
Ability to work independently and establish priorities
Ability to organize and to work in a fast-paced complex and matrixed environment
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule for conferences/events including the occasional night or weekend
