Our company provides full-service management to trade and professional associations, as well as specialized services including non-profit financial management and event coordination. We are seeking a full-time Executive Director to support one of our newest clients, the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). The Executive Director shall be the Chief Operating Officer responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the organization and shall oversee all activities and functions of the IAAI. He/she shall work with Officers and Directors to advance the goals and objectives of IAAI and shall perform other duties as listed in the job description or directed by the Board of Directors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies that will successfully promote the Association’s mission, vision, strategic plan, and increase visibility, membership, and revenue.
Develop and implement comprehensive business plans aimed to realize the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors.
Provide guidance and feedback to committee chairs regarding operations and strategic planning for various organizational committees.
Comply with all internal policies and legal regulations in every area of the Association’s daily activities, including fostering the development of short and long?term plans, policies, and guidelines in this area.
Direct and oversee investments and fundraising efforts for the betterment of the Association.
Maintain and foster meaningful relationships of trust with shareholders, partners, legislative leaders, and other entities that benefit the mission of the Association, while increasing awareness and developing strategies for enhancing the tools, training, and methodologies for conducting fire investigations.
Represent IAAI as a spokesperson with unified messaging; overseeing media relations, creating and nurturing a positive public perception of the industry; connecting with industry influencers.
Serve as the public face representing the Association, remaining ever mindful of the need to maintain good PR standing.
Maintain a solid grasp and understanding of the Association’s overall health.
Perform well under pressure to take proactive measures against possible challenges, and resolve conflict issues quickly, managing crises rapidly and effectively.
Shall work in compliance with the current constitution and bylaws of the association.

Requirements:
Education & Experience – A bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field. At least five years’ experience in executive-level managerial position; association experience as Executive Director a plus.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities –
Significant experience in developing successful strategies and plans.
Strong working knowledge of corporate finance and metrics of performance.
An in?depth knowledge of corporate management, governance principles, and managerial best practices.
Aptitude for analytical thinking, capable of creative solutions to solve problems thoroughly and efficiently.
Exceptional organizational skills and leadership abilities.
Exceptional oral and written communication abilities and public speaking skills.
Travel – travel to events and conferences worldwide is required.
Job Location – This is predominantly a telecommuting position.
