The CME Specialist collaborates with physician and non-physician course directors in the design, implementation, and evaluation of continuing medical education courses. The CME Specialist is responsible for ensuring Mayo Clinic continuing education activities meet all Mayo policies and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) essential areas and standards. Job functions include designing educational needs assessment tools, developing behavioral objectives, designing/implementing CME courses, and evaluating course outcomes with the goal of improving patient care.
